Interior design for Benoy’s Shanghai studio at LUMINA West Bund Centre.
Benoy’s Shanghai team moved into a new 1,000m² studio at LUMINA West Bund Centre, designed by Benoy’s Shanghai Interiors team. The relocation follows the studio’s continuous presence in Shanghai since 2008, and the space is intended to work for the studio’s next phase: a flexible, people-focused workplace with wellness, creativity and collaboration as its organising principles.

1,000m²
Three thematic zones and a green material palette.
The plan is organised around three named zones. The Gallery serves as reception and gathering space, with past projects, awards and artworks on display and enough room for studio-wide meetings. The Living Room is the social hub, with a large communal desk and bar-style seating that carry a domestic register and encourage informal collaboration. The Workshop supports practical making with a 3D printer, library and model-making space. Planting and a neutral green material palette run through the studio as a whole, tuning the space for focus and quiet as much as for activity.
A hub connected to Benoy’s global studio network.
The studio is set up as a place where ideas developed on Shanghai projects move between Benoy’s other studios, connecting into the wider practice as a part of Benoy’s international design conversation.
