A design rooted in the Yellow River

The design draws on the dynamic movement of Lanzhou as a city on the banks of the Yellow River, a source of formal energy that flows through both towers’ lobbies and circulation spaces. Curved lines, bronze tones, and reflective surfaces establish a material language of fluidity and depth, while soaring ceiling heights and floors laid with linear striped patterns reinforce a sense of continuous movement from the entrance through to the upper levels. The reflective surfaces mirror the linear floor patterns, extending the perceived scale of the space and creating a play of light that shifts across day.
