A media-led mixed-use complex on Shanghai’s West Bund, and Hunan province’s largest cultural investment in the city.

Mangoohub is a riverfront mixed-use development on the Huangpu River, occupying an 18,500m2 site along Shanghai’s West Bund media port strip. Five Grade A office buildings sit alongside associated commercial space, a media plaza and dedicated cultural facilities. The plaza accommodates the broadcaster’s full activity range: festival events, brand launches, IP production, video creation, art exhibitions, industry incubators, copyright trading and talent cultivation, within a single coherent envelope.

The complex’s eastern entrance is anchored by the Media Centre, originally conceived as the “Mango Box” and now home to the flagship venue for Mango TV’s Escape Room programme. The 5,700m2 building rises 40m across six storeys above a 13m-high stilted entrance. A stainless-steel reflective ceiling at the entrance, patterned to echo the Huangpu River, and irregular glass folds across the façade give the building a distinct evening signature.

Connection to the wider Media Harbour

Pedestrian link bridges and a green mega-platform on the second level tie the complex into the surrounding DreamCenter masterplan, which dedicates nine adjacent plots to digital media, technology and creative industries. A central plaza, with landscaped terraces and a grand staircase, mediates between the higher office towers to the north and the lower-rise buildings to the south.
