Yeija Zhu is Project Director of Benoy Shanghai. She has more than 20 years' experience, including nearly a decade in London working on projects across the UK and Europe. Her work covers commercial design at a range of scales, from large mixed-use complexes to neighbourhood retail, alongside masterplanning and the relationship between buildings and the public realm. Since returning to China in 2013 she has taken major projects from concept through to completion and operation, and leads much of the studio's work on international competitions. Projects she has led as chief designer have been recognised at WAF, WAN, MIPIM and PropertyGuru. She registered with the ARB in 2011 and is a member of the RIBA and a LEED Accredited Professional. She also supervises professional courses at the School of Architecture, Southeast University.
